Partnership Will Help NJ Physicians Achieve Meaningful Use of Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Jersey City, N.J. – October 20, 2010 – ITelagen, a leading provider of electronic health record (EHR) software, hosting and management today announced that it was selected by the New Jersey Health Information Technology Extension Center (NJ-HITEC) to assist New Jersey Physicians, on behalf of NJ-HITEC to achieve meaningful use of EHRs.
Organized by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONCHIT), NJ-HITEC has been established to provide technical assistance, guidance, resources and information to accelerate provider adoption and support the meaningful use of EHRs. ITelagen, under a partnership with the NJ-HITEC, will work together with the NJ-HITEC to assist an estimated 5,000 New Jersey primary care physicians in their use of electronic health records and to meet meaningful use standards within the next two years.

New Jersey – Health Information Technology Extension Center (NJ-HITEC) is a federally recognized Regional Extension Center located on the campus of the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
