As you may or may not have seen last week, NextGen announced an agreement to acquire Medfusion – see the full note from Rusty Frantz below. The acquisition is not expected to be complete until early December. We are working with the Partnership Team at NextGen to better understand what resources will become available to you in the upcoming weeks, and to learn more about the Medfusion solutions and how they may be valuable to your practice. We anticipate there will be a series of webinars and demos available to you as part of this change. We will keep you posted as we learn more specifics.

As we wrap up a very successful UGM 2019 in Orlando, I have good news to share. Today we announced an agreement to acquire Medfusion. This move strengthens our award-winning ambulatory care platform with a market-leading patient experience platform. Read the press release here

As you know, the patient portal is the front door to a clinician’s practice and the gateway for patient engagement. A patient portal alone, however, is insufficient for the future. The entire patient experience will become even more important as patients increasingly participate in their own healthcare and exercise their power of choice.

Medfusion Patient Experience Platform enables key aspects of patient-provider interactions. It includes a modern portal with an attractive, easy-to-use interface designed to run on any device. The platform includes powerful capabilities for patient intake, patient scheduling and patient payment and is used by more than 16 million patients.

Medfusion Patient Experience Platform is available to you today, bolstering our already-strong support of integrated and collaborative care models. We’ll be offering demos in the coming weeks to showcase the advanced capabilities of the platform. I encourage you to take a closer look. For more information, please contact your Account Executive, Account Manager or visit Success Community.

Better together,
